The 30s in our modern times are a unique time with regards to dating. A number of our female friends are married and with children. Others are engaged or in serious relationships. You thought you would be in this league by now...it has not happened!

You on the other hand, cannot seem to find anyone worth committing to. To make matters worse, aunties and older friends wonder why you are still single. Some tell you that you are too 'choosy' (this irks me every time).

Then when you finally meet that guy who you really like but he seems not to 'chase' as you would want to be chased, you are sent into a roller-coaster of emotions.

If you are like me, you wish that this would end already. But alas, this is the place we find ourselves. Is it enough to just wish this period away?
