AHA collective, 31, Yerevan, Yerevan, 0002, Armenia.

In the framework of the exhibition dedicated to late architect, urban planner and artist Artsvin Grigoryan, AHA collective organizes a discussion on Artsvin Grigoryan's books on architecture and urban planning.

Speaker: Ruben Arevshatyan

Artsvin Grigoryan's contribution to the field of theory and history of architecture was most clearly demonstrated in his books "Architecture of Soviet Armenia" and "Landscape of Modern Cities". Today, referring to those research works, we are dealing not only with the history of Armenian architecture and urban planning of the Soviet period, but also unwittingly understand the contemporaneity of the principles of modernity in today's context.

Free entrance with prior registration.

Ruben Arevshatyan is an artist, critic and curator. He is the president of AICA-Armenia and directs the workshop of research-based art practices at the Yerevan Institute of Contemporary Art. He has authored numerous articles on contemporary art, architecture, and theory, mostly on issues related to urban and cultural transformations in post-socialist contexts. He is a member of the editorial staff of the online magazine www.red-thread.org.
