Dice…Cards…Cheers..Groans, Is It Vegas? And Using Technology in the Classroom

·         Location: Country High School (100 McClellan Street, Vacaville, CA 95688)

·         Topic: During this interactive workshop we will sample various games that can be used successfully with an entire classroom or at stations, to review math concepts. We will play the game, then develop extensions and modifications to meet your specific grade level requirements. Bring your grade level math standards to match these activities to the standards you are required to cover. Have a favorite game, bring it along to share.  We will also spend time during this workshop covering various uses of technology in the classroom

·         Presenter Information

o   Catherine Bowershas been teaching elementary grades for thirty years, the last six as an Intervention Specialist. She loves to use games and interactive lessons to help students develop math concepts and understanding.

o   Bonnie Coldiron her first year of teaching was the 1999-2000 school year. She has been teaching 8^th grade Science at Willis Jepson Middle School since August 2001. She has had a total of 9 candidate teachers since 2016.  She began facilitating Induction seminars in 2012.
