Dermfest this year will start with a patients’ event on Friday 29th November (evening) to which all Dermfest registrants are also invited. The event is being organised in collaboration with the Malta Eczema Society, the
Psoriasis Association and other patient representatives and will include a lecture on ‘Treatment of skin disease - New approaches in 2019.
The rest of the Dermfest academic programme will be held on Saturday 30th November. We are lucky to have as speakers three eminent overseas colleagues - Razvigor Darlenski (Bulgaria), Dimitrios Ioannides (Greece) and Colm O’Mahony (U.K.), several local colleagues from allied specialities as well as MADV members, all of whom we thank for participating.
Topics will include hair disorders, infectious diseases, systemic drug reactions with skin involvement, psycho-dermatology, acute presentations of genito-urinary medicine, quality improvement in dermatology and dermoscopy. In
addition, for the first time this year, the afternoon programme will feature three parallel update sessions on Paediatric Dermatology, Skin Cancer and Genito-Urinary Medicine respectively.
