Defensive Pistol Skills: Running the Gun.
Instructor: Will Garrett
Cost: $50.00. A $10.00 deposit reserves your spot. Remaining balance due the day of class, to be paid by cash only.

This 4-hour course is intended to challenge shooters to up their game when it comes to “Running the gun”. Shooters will engage in shooting drills that will focus on quickly and efficiently loading and reloading the gun, clearing stoppages and malfunctions, and rapidly placing accurate shots on target.

Students will be trained on:

 

·         Efficient Loading of the Weapon

·         Slide-Lock (“combat”) Reloading

·         Tactical Reloading

·         Clearing Stoppages and Malfunctions

·         Rapid and Accurate Fire Under Stress

·         Multiple Target Engagement

This is not a beginning level class, and the techniques will not be taught in an “intro to…” manner. Students should already have formal firearms training, and have at least a basic familiarity with the material. The purpose of this class is challenge shooters to become faster, more efficient, and more confident in their abilities to perform these critical tasks under pressure. Students should be in sufficient physical condition to perform these tasks after mild-to-moderate physical activity.

Students will need to bring the following:

• Quality Semi-Auto Pistol with a holster that is designed for the firearm that is being used. Nylon holsters are not permitted. Holsters that require the use of the trigger finger to release the firearm (Serpa, etc) are not permitted.
• A sturdy belt with a magazine pouch, and at least 2 spare magazines (4 recommended).
• At least 300 rounds of quality, factory-loaded ammunition.
• Eye and Ear Protection (Electronic hearing protection recommended).
• Suitable Clothing (We shoot rain or shine) with comfortable footwear.
• Snacks and drinks.
