Join us this summer and discover Czech through stories, films, and conversation!
Do you enjoy Czech films and great stories?
Join our online Czech Film & Literature Club and improve your Czech through a selection of beloved Czech films—from family comedies and fairy tales to musicals and classic literary adaptations.
This summer we'll explore films such as Jak se krotí krokodýli, Teorie tygra, Šakalí léta, Nejkrásnější hádanka, and the timeless classic Saturnin. Some are based on literary works, while others have become modern classics of Czech cinema, offering a unique insight into Czech language, humour, and culture.
In our zoom sessions, we'll discuss the characters, themes, memorable scenes, and cultural context. You'll expand your vocabulary, practise speaking through interactive activities, and compare the films with their literary inspiration whenever possible.
The club is designed for learners with at least an intermediate level of Czech (B1+) who want to build fluency in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Whether you're interested in Czech literature, cinema, or simply enjoy meaningful conversations, this course will help you experience Czech language and culture in an engaging and memorable way.
Come and spend your summer with Czech films, great stories, and inspiring conversations!
