CYBER ATTACK: LIVE-FIRE RESPONSE EXERCISE

Cybersecurity Manufacturing Innovation Institute:

What would you do if a cyberattack hit your network right now?

Don’t just talk about it. Experience it.

Join the CyManII and other local Manufacturers and Critical Infrastructure organizations for a two-day, hands-on Live Cyber Attack Simulation designed specifically for IT Professionals,  Cybersecurity Analysts and Technical security professionals.

Participants will step into a realistic corporate network environment and respond to a simulated cyberattack as it unfolds—using the same types of enterprise security technologies they encounter in real-world security operations.

You’ll investigate suspicious activity, analyze alerts, identify indicators of compromise, make critical decisions, and take action to contain and respond to the attack.

Train Like It’s Real

This is more than a presentation—and it’s not a traditional tabletop exercise.

You will work inside a replica corporate-grade network and use enterprise security tools including:

  • Palo Alto Networks Firewalls – investigate network activity and implement defensive controls
  • Crowdstrike EDR – analyze security events, correlate activity, and identify potential threats
  • Splunk – search logs, investigate suspicious behavior, and uncover attack activity
  • Additional network and security technologies to support the exercise

The attack will unfold in real time, requiring you and your team to detect, investigate, respond, and adapt as the situation develops.

What You’ll Practice

During the exercise, participants will have the opportunity to:

🔎 Detect — Identify suspicious activity and recognize the early signs of an attack.

🕵️ Investigate — Analyze logs, alerts, network activity, and other evidence to determine what is happening.

🚨 Respond — Use enterprise security tools to take defensive action and disrupt the attack.

🧠 Make Decisions — Prioritize threats and determine what actions should be taken as the attack evolves.

🛡️ Contain & Recover — Practice the technical response process used to limit damage and restore security.

Why Participate?

Cybersecurity skills are built through practice—not just theory.

This exercise provides a safe environment where you can make decisions, test your skills, work with enterprise security tools, and experience the pressure of responding to an active cyber incident—without the consequences of a real-world breach.

You’ll leave with greater confidence in your ability to recognize an attack, investigate what happened, and take action when it matters.

No Experience Necessary; we will provide guidance through the exercise.

Space is limited. Register today and put your cybersecurity skills to the test.
