Matenadaran, 53, Yerevan, Yerevan, 0009, Armenia.

Discover the inclusive design approach of the Matenadaran garden and its three proposed visions by joining the curatorial tour of the exhibitionThe Sun is Rising: The Matenadaran Garden Vision”, led by AHA collective’s director, curator Nairi Khatchadourian. The tour will take place on Saturday, February 14, at 10:00, in the exhibition space of the Matenadaran Academic Building.

During the tour, the curator will present the methodology and process of the garden’s co-creation and the three conceptual and spatial visions that emerged from the analysis of its outcomes. The exhibition is grounded in the study of Armenia’s garden culture, the urban and topographic analysis of the Matenadaran garden site, and the botanical heritage of manuscripts. Visitors to the exhibition are also invited to take part in the process by voting for their preferred garden vision.

In the context of Yerevan’s rapid and frenetic urban development, the project highlights the power of co-creation as a vital tool to engage citizens in inclusive, culturally responsible, and context-sensitive design.

The curatorial tour is free of charge. To participate, please register.
