It has been a month since Live Archive was launched, and as a step toward fostering connections within the community, we are launching a public program, beginning with an online lecture titled “Counter-mapping Against Denial: Armenian Memory and Urban Space” on Thursday, January 22, at 20:00 by Garine Boghossian, one of the first contributors to Live Archive.
Garine Boghossian is an architect and urbanist based in New York, founder of An Armenian Atlas / Աշխարհացոյց. She is an urban designer at ORG New York and a visiting critic at Cornell University.
This lecture explores Armenian memory maps as acts of resistance and counter-memory that reveal and contest 20th and 21st century Turkish urban and cartographic politics of denial.
Language: Western Armenian
