Our 1-Day (8-PDH) "Wetland Workshop" courses have NO PREREQUISITES.  Anyone can take this course, regardless of your career field or experience, and gain an immense amount of knowledge about how Wetlands are delineated in the field....in a single day!!!

THIS COURSE IF PERFECT OR PEOPLE WISHING TO GAIN THE GENERAL KNOWLEDGE OF WETLAND DELINEATION...BUT OTHERS WILL BE PERFORMING THE ACTUAL DELINEATIONS/FIELD WORK/REPORTS.  OR FOR EXISTING DELINEATORS THAT WOULD LIKE ADDITIONAL FIELD TIME AND FIELD EXPERIENCE.

This is a 1-day crash course in jurisdictional wetland and stream identifications. The morning is in the 'office' learning the basics, and the remaining portion of the day in the field seeing lots of different areas.

Not everyone that wants to learn how to ID wetlands and streams in the field will be doing the technical portions (collecting data, tying flags, writing report, etc.)  Some people just want to know how the process works, and how to more intelligently walk in the field.

In this course you will learn how to delineate wetlands from a non-technical perspective and be able to quickly and efficiently call out problem locations for your projects.

You will learn the "unofficial ACOE "foot test", learn Hydric Plant ID Techniques for non-botanists, and other  tips and tricks on  how to quickly identify areas of concern.

Most importantly you will receive real-world field experience and a copy our "Wetland Field Book Manual", which is like taking the course home with you. After the class you will keep this handy little Manual in your truck, briefcase, or trailer. When you go to walk land on your own, take it with you to quickly and easily identify potential problem areas.

EACH COURSE HAS 2-LOCATIONS.  The morning portion will be indoors, and the afternoon location with be outdoors in the field.  The afternoon field portion will be held at Frick Park, Pittsburgh, PA.  The office/morning portion is TBD, and we will send out our meeting location a few weeks before the course.
