Mount Pleasant Elementary School District will be providing a 2-day training to support K-2 teachers in the district and 3-5 grade teachers at Robert Sanders to implement Guided Reading Instruction daily for one hour each day.  The training will take place at August Boeger Middle School. 

The training will focus on the following:

  • Administer the Fountas and Pinnell benchmark assessments, learn how to analyze the assessments and plan for instruction to support the reading needs of all students.
  • Learn how to take your students’ scores from Fountas & Pinnell benchmarks and conduct guided reading in small groups and learn how to use the Continiuum of Early Literacy to support the reading instruction during Guided Reading.
