Join with the City of Durham Fire Dept as it hosts the IAFC’s Company Officer Leadership Symposium, Level I (COLS I) on November 15-17. 

This program is offered free of charge to members of your department through the generous support of the International Association of Fire Chiefs Foundation and the Motorola Solutions Foundation.

The COLS program is an initiative of International Association of Fire Chiefs and provides company officers with specific leadership training geared toward their department responsibilities. This comprehensive program has set learning objectives, many of which meet the JPRs outlined in NFPA 1021. 

COLS I provides company officers with essential skills to transition into a leadership role. Participants will leave with tools and resources to be successful as a leader in their department and move their organization forward.
