OrthoNebraska is proud to host a comprehensive workshop on Hand, Wrist, and Elbow Injections

Join us for a training event with Board Certified Orthopedic Hand Surgeon, Dr. Todd Gaddie. The seminar focused on the latest techniques and best practices in administering injections for common conditions affecting the hand, wrist, and elbow. 

It is designed for physicians, advanced practice providers (APPs), and advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) eager to enhance their clinical skills.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the clinical presentation of: Trigger finger/thumb, carpal tunnel, Dequervain’s tenosynovitis, lateral epicondylitis, and wrist joint pain
  • Provide the correct cortisone solution and dosage for: Trigger finger/thumb, carpal tunnel, Dequervain’s tenosynovitis, lateral epicondylitis, and wrist joint pain
  • Possess the knowledge and technical ability to provide and injection of: Trigger finger/thumb, carpal tunnel, Dequervain’s tenosynovitis, lateral epicondylitis, and wrist joint pain
  • Understand how to perform a digital block anesthetic

 

The Metro Omaha Medical Association designates this activity for 2.0 credits of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

This seminar will provide the participating physicians clinicians with a understanding of injection techniques that will help the participants to better treat the patients that they see daily. The family practice physicians will be able to know the information Dr. Gaddie is lecturing on and use the knowledge to improve practice and potentially impact patient outcomes. The goal is the physicians will use the injection education to care for some of their own patients if they choose. Ultimately enhancing their knowledge, skills, and performance, improving patient care and the health of the community.
