Hosted by the Institute for Science & Policy at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, in partnership with the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) and the Federation of American Scientists (FAS), the Colorado Future Systems Forum: Shaping the Future of Colorado’s Workforce is a three-hour, discussion-focused convening that will bring together key leaders from the Colorado workforce community to bridge the gap between workforce development experiences and future policy efforts. Our primary focus will be on understanding the social, economic, and behavioral barriers to upskilling and reskilling the Colorado workforce. A networking Happy Hour will immediately follow this event.

This forum a unique opportunity for key stakeholders and leaders to:

  • Uncover Shared Values: Explore the priorities of Colorado workforce development to ensure future policy is responsive and reflective of community needs
  • Assess Barriers: Examine the social, economic, and behavioral hurdles that impede upskilling and reskilling within different communities
  • Develop Relationships: Spark connections with fellow leaders to support the implementation of future workforce policy activities and initiatives.

The insights gathered during this forum will directly inform policy proposals being developed as part of the Colorado Future Systems Policy Sprint, a three-month initiative designed to harness subject matter expertise and localized community insights to develop actionable policy solutions for Colorado’s executive and legislative leaders. More information about this project can be found at https://fas.org/accelerator/colorado-future-systems-policy-sprint/

We are committed to ensuring that cost is not a barrier to participation. Please reach out if you require and can accept a small honorarium and support for travel and accommodations.
