Tracy obtained her BA in Music Performance – Euphonium from San Jose State University in May 1992. She joined the US Marine Corps in February 1992 under the Delayed-Entry Program and left for boot camp just one week after graduation. Tracy spent her time in the Marines not only working as a professional Musician (Euphonium/Voice) traveling to various places that included Virginia, Louisiana, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Guam, Japan, Kwajalein, and Tarawa, she also worked as a Music Librarian, and Administrative Assistant for her respective Units. After an Honorable Discharge from the Marine Corps in December 1996 due to injury, Tracy went back to school to pursue a second, BA, this time in Psychology at Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia, graduating in 1999. She went on to work as a Substance Abuse Counselor for adults, and later, children after returning to California in 2001. During this time, she remained an active musician playing in various community organizations throughout Georgia and Florida. In 2002, wanting to further expand her education, Tracy returned to school in pursuit of a master’s degree, and in 2004 graduated with a MA in Organizational Management. She has recently helped start Heat Flash Printing & Apparel LLC, a heat printing and embroidery business, with her extensive administrative background. In addition to her military music career and subsequent small business ownership, Tracy has remained an active freelance musician for over 30+ years and currently enjoys playing Euphonium in the Gay Freedom Band of Los Angeles (Concert/Jazz Bands), the Symphony of the Verdugos, and the Gold Coast Wind Ensemble.
