The Confidence Gap session

Research says that women are as competent as men in virtually all fields of endeavour.
Academically women now out perform men in most academic fields and more females are graduating today from law school than men.
In all school exams and tests women from an early age are equal if not better than men.
Why then do many woman not get what they deserve in their careers.
Why are women's salaries often less than men.
Why are there less female CEOs or board directors than men.
The answer it seems is partly this mysterious thing called Confidence.
In in this session Chris Hanley will present scientific data along with decades of anecdotal experience managing large teams of women to examine why somewhere between the playground of little school and the world of business something changes.
He will also show us how confidence accumulates and provide a bunch of steps we can all take to boost our confidence.
Chris will also  talk about why confidence is a part of talent and why the overconfidence that young men demonstrate is not fake but is instead a natural part of their character.
Finally he will talk about why self doubt is an integral part of growth for all of us.
