Center: An Authentic Movement Retreat

Boulder Hot Springs, 31 S. Hotsprings Rd. , Boulder, MT, 59632, United States.

We will move, draw, and have discussion time each evening and morning during the retreat.  There will be time in between sessions for eating, soaking, and taking walks.  Suggested reading is Offering from the Conscious Body by Janet Adler. Participants will be working on practicing movement. Facilitators will be witnessing.

 

We will meet for 14 hours of focused retreat time 3-6 pm Friday evening, 9-12 am Saturday morning, 2-5pm Saturday afternoon, 9-12 am Sunday morning, 2-4pm Sunday afternoon.  Meals each day will be as follows, Breakfast 8-9 am, Lunch 1-2 pm, Dinner 6-7pm.  There will be a minimum of 8 participants.

 

Cost:  $400 to MCSP and then the rest approx $300 more for food and a room depending on which room you choose is paid to Boulder Hot Springs when you will register for a room and food for the weekend.  It is required to book a room and food at the Hotel to participate in the retreat.To reserve a room and food for the retreat please call Boulder Hot Springs at (406) 225-4339.

What to bring: Comfortable clothing, slippers, water bottle, journal, swim suit, snacks,walking shoes and whatever else will make you comfortable.

Hillary Welzenbach has been practicing Authentic Movement since 2002. She was a student of Janet Adler from 2007-2018. She is now on the faculty of the Circles of Four Authentic Movement Program.

Hillary Funk Welzenbach is grateful to all of the teachers she has had the honor and privilege to learn from.   She first began studying Authentic Movement at the Authentic Movement Institute in Berkeley California, USA with Lysa Castro in 2002.  Since then, she has worked with Barbara Holifield at the California Institute of Integral Studies(CIIS) in private retreats and supervision from 2003-2007.  Hillary studied Authentic Movement with Julia Gombos and Tina Stromsted at CIIS in 2005 and did individual Authentic Movement work with Sherry Freeman from 2003-2006.  Hillary participated in annual retreats with Janet Adler from 2007-2018.  She has engaged in supervision with Susan Cahill in the Discipline of Authentic Movement from 2013 to the present and received her blessing as a teacher of The Discipline of Authentic Movement in 2017. 

Hillary runs the Montana Center for Somatic Psychotherapy in Missoula, Montana, USA, a group practice supporting Somatic Therapists in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and The Discipline of Authentic Movement. She integrates the Discipline of Authentic Movement into her work as a psychotherapist and supervisor.  Hillary has offered individual, group, and retreat work in Authentic Movement since 2006 in Missoula, MT. She has been providing individual and group supervision in trauma work and Authentic Movement since 2017.  She is currently engaging deeply with the questions around the intersection of nervous system modulation and the mandorla.
