Our efforts to update legislation are close to bearing fruit, but we cannot finish this legislative year without the assistance of our two lobbyists. CARVC did not budget this calendar year for two lobbying firms to assist our efforts. But we continued to move our legislation forward in North Carolina and South Carolina. To close this success we needed the assistance of our experts in legislation.
Their efforts are showing impressive progress. We are over-budget for the legislative help. We are requesting donations from you, our membership, to finish this effort. Any amount that you forward to our office will go directly to legislation in the Carolinas. This is a one-time request and will not become an annual habit. I receive requests for assistance regularly from organizations. This request is directly for us to us.
