Whether you’re starting from scratch or want to sharpen your skills, I offer practical, plain-English sessions that can be tailored to suit your team, your brand, and your real-world projects.

DAY 1: Canva Foundations + Design Essentials

Perfect for beginners and self-taught users

Learn the basics properly and understand the design principles that make your work look polished, clear, and professional.

What you’ll learn

• How to choose and customise templates for print, web, social & presentations

• Essential design principles: colour, contrast, hierarchy, layout, white space

• Working with elements: shapes, graphics, photos, frames, grids & tables

• Styling your text, pairing fonts, using effects & uploading your own fonts

• Organising your images and brand assets

• Creating effective presentations with animations, charts & live presenting

• Exporting correctly for print and web

• Intro to Canva’s AI tools: Magic Write, Magic Edit, Magic Expand & AI graphics

You’ll leave with:

• Skills to confidently create your own marketing materials

• Clear understanding of what makes good design

• A set of templates and cheat sheets to use immediately

• The building blocks to step into more advanced Canva work

DAY 2: Canva Pro Skills + Affinity Introduction

What you’ll learn

• Visual Suite overview: Docs, Presentations, Whiteboards, Websites, Video

• Advanced Brand Kits & campaign styling

• Professional workflow: grids, alignment, layering, shadows, colour matching

• Bulk Create using Canva Sheets & Google Sheets

• Video editing + Magic Video for Reels, TikTok & YouTube

• Content Planner: connecting accounts, scheduling & analytics

• Websites in Canva: when they work and how to publish them

• New HTML email feature: design in Canva → paste straight into Mailchimp, Gmail or Outlook
