About the CalTax Luncheon to Discuss New Software Tax

You are invited to attend a CalTax Board Luncheon on Thursday, August 27, from 12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m., featuring California Department of Tax and Fee Administration Director Trista Gonzalez and Chief Counsel Chris Schutz.

Our guest speakers will provide an overview and discussion of regulatory efforts to implement California’s new software tax (SB 122 – Chapter 23, Statutes of 2026), including key policy considerations and administrative developments.

This luncheon is offered as an exclusive benefit to members of the CalTax Board of Directors and their colleagues and will be held in person only. Due to limited seating, we are unable to accommodate contract lobbyists or guests of board member companies/firms.

This luncheon will serve as a timely follow-up to CDTFA’s July 21 stakeholder workshop. CalTax plans to work with the CDTFA to identify areas where additional guidance, clarification, and administrative relief may be necessary to facilitate compliance.

Registration Details

  • Cost: $40, includes lunch
  • RSVP Deadline: August 20, 2026 – seating is limited and will be confirmed on a first-come basis.

We look forward to your participation in this important and timely discussion.
