Brainspotting is a powerful, focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing, and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation, and a variety of challenging symptoms.

Brainspotting is a simultaneous form of diagnosis and treatment, enhanced with BioLateral sound, which is deep, direct, powerful, yet focused and containing.

Through lecture, live demonstration, and small group practice, participants will learn to do the following:

  • Define the components of Brainspotting
  • Utilize the techniques of "Inside Window", "Outside Window", and "Gazespotting"
  • Define how Brainspotting can be applied to trauma, dissociation, sports psychology, and somatic conditions
  • Demonstrate the theories and practices of Brainspotting
     

    NOTE: This training is approved for 24 CE's through the Board of Examiners for NAADAC.

About Organizer

Steve is the founder of the Developmental Trauma Training Institute and is a dual licensed psychotherapist. With over two decades of engaging with a wide range of client populations spanning a large variety of therapeutic settings, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise. He is a seasoned speaker, author and compassionate innovator. His ground breaking therapeutic approaches that fuel profound change include Cut from the Herd for addictions, Digging Roots Foundations for developmental trauma, and the High Acuity Care model of Brainspotting. Steve’s personal trauma and addictions recovery spark his passion for supporting vulnerable populations with a hope focused message. He is able to make meaningful connections with a any audience around stress, trauma and most importantly igniting resiliency in today’s stressed world. Steve, a dedicated trainer in Indigenous-focused methodologies, brings invaluable insights into healing through his work as a White Bison Inc. Mending Broken Hearts trainer. Steve’s intensive specialized workshops address critical topics including Indigenous Trauma Responsiveness, Community Lateral Aggression, and Indigenous Addiction. Steve has been recognized for his innovative contributions to trauma therapy, including his role as a leading International Brainspotting trainer, his development of the Developmental Trauma Focused Model of Brainspotting, and his contributions to the Institute of HeartMath Resilient Heart and Interventions curric
