In 2017, sisters and worship artists A4L hosted a worship night around a fire pit in their backyard. Through worship, prophecy, and engaging activities, many young adults left hungry to grow in their walk with Christ while building community with like-minded individuals. In the summer of 2020, during the height of the pandemic, the youngest A4L member, Alexis, was asked to start a small group for young adults at her church. Alexis modeled this group after the worship bonfires, creating a Bible study, better known as Bonfire Sessions. At the first meeting, 80% of attendees were not Christian, yet by the end, everyone present gave their lives to Christ or rededicated themselves. Bonfire Sessions provided an outlet for young adults when many churches closed their doors, to fellowship & deepen various walks in Christ. This moment revealed that Bonfire Sessions were not only for the found but also for the lost. The 8-week small group grew weekly, and by the final week, over 100 young adults attended. What started as a small gathering in the backyard has now evolved into a fast-growing ministry. Today, Bonfire Sessions travels to various campgrounds around the United States witnessing the transformative power of Jesus Christ.
