Staff from the National Blood Authority are coming to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital to conduct go-live training sessions for users of the BloodSTAR system, which is scheduled to roll out in Queensland on 22 August 2016. BloodSTAR is a new online system that will facilitate authorisations, reviews, and dispensing of immunoglobulin products such as IVIg and SCIg. If you plan on using the system and want to know how it works, and/or have questions about the system please join us.

This session is specific to dispensers and will focus on the link between BloodNet and BloodSTAR and how IVIg and SCIg products will be ordered and dispensed once BloodSTAR goes live.

The National Blood Authority (NBA) is a statutory agency within the Australian Government Health portfolio that manages and coordinates arrangements for the supply of blood and blood products and services on behalf of the Australian Government and state and territory governments.
