The "Beyond Borders" session will provide an overview of the process of creating the "Chasing Blake" project, an international project focused on connecting classrooms in Ghana, the UK, and US to discuss the legacies of the transatlantic slave trade, as well contemporary local, state and national issues. The session focuses on the global awareness objective of the WCS strategic plan, and provides participants with tips on using multiple content areas, school and district partnerships to create international projects.
