2026 Better Business Awards Luncheon powered by Managed Facility Solutions
Texas small businesses run on people who show up, put in the hard work, and rarely get thanked for it publicly. On September 30, the Foundation for Better Business is changing that!
This year's ceremony brings together two traditions under one roof: the BBB Torch and Spark Awards, alongside five brand-new Foundation honors recognizing Texas entrepreneurs alongside the corporate leaders and volunteers driving the Foundation's mission forward.
The luncheon event will include a networking reception and an awards ceremony, emceed by Jenni Lee of KVUE-TV. SXSW's Peter Lewis moderates the Power of Better Business panel of business leaders including Haynes Dallas of MFS, Amy Sweet of Halcyon Home, and Josh Fogelman, FVF Law who will discuss business excellence in action.
The ceremony itself is the heart of the day. Austin Business Journal Market President and chair of the BBB Board of Directors, Abby Mellott, presents BBB Torch Awards and Spark Awards. ABC Home & Commercial Services President and Foundation Board of Trustees Chair, Bobby Jenkins, presents the Foundation's first-ever honors: the She Means Business Leadership Award, the Blueprint Trades Excellence Award, the Ignite Growth Award, the Corporate Engagement Award, the Ignite Expert Collective Volunteer- Speaker of the Year Award, and the Better Business Ambassador – Volunteer of the Year Award.
