Learn to pull loops by creating an 8” x 11” multi-coloured mat. Each kit contains: detailed instructions and everything needed to complete the project. This includes a hook, stamped pattern on bleached Scottish linen not burlap, all pre-cut wool strips, a darning needle and yarn to whip the edges, twill tape to finish the back and a label for provenance. The only item not included is a 14” hoop. Hoops may be borrowed or purchased during class. Hoops: $16 – $40. In two hours students learn about various backings, rug hooking fibres, hooking and finishing techniques as well as a bit of rug hooking history. With a little patience and practice you will find your rhythm. Rug hooking will become effortless and enjoyable. You will be ‘hooked’.
