At Aslan Home Lending, we believe in more than just helping our customers—we believe in uplifting our community. As part of our commitment to making a difference, we’re dedicating a day to volunteering at the Weinberg Food Pantry in Denver.

Hunger and food insecurity impact many families in our community, and we want to be part of the solution. By working together, we can provide essential support to those in need. We invite all team members to sign up for a shift and join us in giving back.

This is a great opportunity to serve, connect, and make a real impact—because at Aslan, we care about more than business; we care about people.

Sign up today and be a part of something bigger!

The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Food Pantry is one of JFS’s most visible programs, and one of the most impactful. Hundreds of people in our community rely on the pantry to meet one of life’s most basic needs—food. What started as a kosher pantry serving Russian Jewish refugees in 1991 has grown into a vital community resource that serves more than 3,200 people and distributes 662,000 pounds of food each year. The pantry is open to all people, regardless of faith, race, age, or ability.

The food pantry assists individuals and families facing hunger and food insecurity. For some, the pantry helps weather an emergency; for others, it provides supplemental food to make ends meet without sacrificing a family’s health and well-being.  As a "choice" model food pantry, JFS seeks volunteers to help with stocking, packing, assisting clients with selecting food, and several other important client and pantry related tasks.

JFS emphasizes the commitment to trauma-informed care and the Choice Model, which allows guests to shop with dignity with the opportunity to look through the available options and select what works best for them and their families. This model is at the core of the JFS mission to provide a respectful and supportive environment for everyone who visits the pantry.
