COURSE DESCRIPTION
Time marches on and so shall we through this fascinating exploration of American house styles – the evolution of which is much more detailed than you might guess. In addition to reviewing some of the design and decorative elements that define each style, we’ll look at the historical context to give you a sense of why the styles evolved. We’ll conclude with a look at modern-day houses and the challenges their style, or lack thereof, present to real estate professionals. This comprehensive review will prepare you to identify, characterize and place homes into context for your clients.

Georgia Real Estate Commission Course No. 70313

Arrival, Parking + Classroom Location
Our venue is the Atlanta REALTORS Center; 5784 Lake Forrest Drive; Atlanta, GA 30328.

Parking is free. You may find more information about the campus here: http://www.atlantarealtors.com

Hours of Operation
Ryan Taylor Architects, LLC (RTA) staff will be available for you to sign in at least 30 minutes before the event is scheduled to begin. The classroom will be open to attendees at least 20 minutes prior to the start of the class. All attendees must be out of the classroom twenty minutes after the class ends to allow RTA and venue staff to clean the space.

What to Bring + What Not to Bring
Please bring supplies to take notes such as a tablet and pens. We'll provide direction to those who purchased tickets by email regarding materials to print or any other concerns.

Please do not bring a laptop computer or other device with a keyboard and/or screen to use in the class. We receive a significant number of negative comments from people around those using a keyboard because the sound of typing and light from the screen are distracting.

Do not bring valuable items. Do not leave any personal items in the space unattended at any time.

Sign In for CE Credit
RTA is a real estate school approved by the Georgia Real Estate Commission. Georgia real estate professionals seeking continuing education credit are required to sign-in before attending the class. RTA staff will provide direction about how and where to sign in when you arrive at the venue and present your ticket.

You must notify RTA staff if you're using a ticket purchased by someone else so we may reconcile the list of ticket purchasers with those who have signed in.

Photo, Video + Audio Policy
Please keep photography to a minimum to avoid distracting attendees. We will typically make slides available to you so you don't have to take pictures of slides - you can focus on taking notes rather than pictures.

Video, audio and any other means of recording, streaming or broadcasting the presentation, audience questions and other interactions are prohibited without written consent in advance from RTA.

Cancellation policy

All sales are final. Carefully review the date and location of the event for which you’re purchasing tickets before you complete the purchase. No refunds, exchanges or cancellations are available once your ticket purchase has been completed.

While we do not allow cancellation of tickets after you’ve purchased them, you may choose to give your ticket to another person. It is your responsibility to safeguard your ticket. If you give your ticket to another person, they must alert our staff at the event to let them know the ticket has been transferred. This is particularly important for any people who wish to use a transferred ticket and earn continuing education credit.

We may cancel an event at our sole discretion. We will provide as much notice as possible if a cancellation is necessary. We will provide a full refund to all ticket holders through the payment method you provided to purchase the ticket if we cancel an event. We will not issue a refund for service fees, transaction charges, convenience charges, delivery charges or other charges related to your purchase.

The Georgia Real Estate Commission (GREC) will not issue continuing education credit for a course you've already taken within the last twelve months. You may choose to take a course more than once in twelve months. If you wish to receive continuing education credit, please check the course code to be sure you're eligible under the rules of the GREC before you purchase a ticket. You can find the GREC course code in the course description above.

Ryan Taylor founded Ryan Taylor Architects, LLC (RTA) in 2002. We provide services for residential projects (renovations, additions + new construction) with a focus on health, comfort and efficiency. We also provide consulting services for zoning, building code compliance, permitting and other jurisdictional challenges. RTA’s work includes projects in the United States, the Caribbean and Africa. RTA became a real estate school and began offering our own education events for real estate professionals in 2019. Offering our own events rather than presenting topics for others allows us to develop courses based on your guidance – we get direct input from you though questions, evaluations, surveys and offline discussions. (Got an idea for a course? Let us know!)
