Description:This scenario-based class will explore how the language we use contributes to our overall attitudes and beliefs about your everyday work environment. You will examine your own personal beliefs and assumptions with a Trauma Informed lens and be exposed to tools that can help you think differently.

Learning Objectives:

  • Define Trauma Informed language and terminology
  • Examine how the language you use impacts your overall attitude about participants, residents and co-workers
  • Apply trauma informed principles to common scenarios
  • Develop a personalized plan to implement more trauma informed language into your everyday vocabulary
