The performance “Antanelee” is a multidisciplinary work based on the stories of its participants.
The performance is divided into four parts:
An: a reflection and an open question on the idea of homeland, viewed through the lens of exile, forced displacement, and environmental activism.
Ta: an interplay of technologies and storytelling, exploring self-destruction under the pressures of society.
Ne: the realization of an all-encompassing digitalization and the act of resistance against it.
Lee: an exploration of the female body as a space of prohibitions, where culture and tradition dictate movements, freedoms, and struggles.
In the end, all four parts merge into one, forming the word Antanelee—meaning “unbearable.”
