GETTING TO AND AROUND CAMPUS
TO SEATTLE: Fly into Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (Sea-Tac).
TO UW: From Sea-Tac you have several options for traveling to campus:
- Link Light Rail: $3.25 one way. The best blend of price and convenience direct to UW. Plus, great views along the way! Drivers do not make change. Link Light Rail lets off on the periphery of campus near Husky Stadium and UW Hospital.
- Shuttle Express: 24-hour service between the airport and any destination. Shuttle takes up to 10 passengers. One-way trip fare of $24.75 or less, depending on the number of passengers travelling together. Reservations not required if departing from airport. More information here: http://www.shuttleexpress.com/webpages/reservations.html
- Seattle Downtown Airporter: Departs every 30 minutes from 5:30am-11:00pm. Rate is $10.25 per person each way. Tickets available at the Gray Line of Seattle desk at the south end of the main terminal. Shuttle does not extend to the University District; you would need to take a taxi or transfer to Metro buses #71, #72, or #73 to University District.
- Public Bus (METRO): Cost of $1.25-$1.50, exact change required. #194 express service to downtown is recommended. Ask driver for two-zone transfer; bus change required downtown. Transfer on 3rd Ave downtown to #71, #72, or #73 buses.
- Taxi: Average fare of $40 to $50.
- Rental Car: Available at on-site counters at airport. Not recommended unless you are planning trips out of town. Parking near UW or downtown can be difficult
