The Salvation Army has been assisting in disaster response, relief, and recovery since 1900. There may come a time, when the local Salvation Army Corps is called upon to assist in disaster relief efforts on behalf of The Salvation Army. Whether it be setting up, maintaining, and operating a shelter site, mass feeding operations from the corps, assisting in mobile feeding, or even emotional and spiritual care, the local corps officers, soldiers, adherents, attendees, and volunteers must understand that their services may be needed in assisting to keep with The Salvation Army’s mission of meeting human needs in his name without discrimination. #DoingTheMostGood is not just working within your corps to build stronger relationships with the corps members, and the Lord, but outreach into your local communities, and what a better way to do so, then being there for them when they feel like they have lost all Hope. The Bible says in Hebrews 6:10 the “God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them."
As representatives of The Salvation Army, we have a sacred responsibility to be there for those in need. This is how you can get your corps involved.
