Allegheny County FT Correctional Officer Written Exam

The Allegheny County Jail is testing for the position of Full-Time Correctional Officer. As an eligible candidate, you are required to choose a test date/time. The examination is designed to measure some of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the duties of the Correctional Officer position. Content areas include:

• learning, retaining and applying information

• observing and remembering details

• following written directions

• verbal and reading comprehension

• problem solving and situational judgement

Applicants who pass the written examination will take the Physical Agility Exam on Wednesday, January 23, 2018.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is free parking provided at Kane Regional Center - Glen Hazel.  if you choose to drive, PLEASE PARK IN THE BACK LOT.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes, you must bring your printed ticket to the examination.  Please ensure that the name you register with matches the name on your valid photo ID.  If you are unable to print your ticket, please contact HR.
