Allegheny County Correctional Officer Written Exam

The Allegheny County Jail is testing for the position of Part-Time Correctional Officer. As an eligible candidate, you are required to choose a test date/time. The examination is designed to measure some of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the duties of the Correctional Officer position. Content areas include:

• learning, retaining and applying information

• observing and remembering details

• following written directions

• verbal and reading comprehension

• problem solving and situational judgement

Applicants who pass the written examination will be automatically scheduled for a physical agility test on Monday, June 18, 2018.
