The Allegheny County Jail is testing for the position of part-time Correctional Officer. As an eligible candidate, you are required to choose a test date/time. The examination is designed to measure some of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform the duties of the Correctional Office position. Content areas include:

  • learning, retaining and applying information

  • observing and remembering details

  • following written directions

  • verbal and reading comprehension

  • problem solving and situational judgement

Applicants who pass the written examination will be automatically scheduled for a physical agility test on Wednesday, December 20, 2017.
