AHA PALS Skills Session June 11, 2019 3 PM to 5 PM at Saving American Hearts 6165 Lehman Drive Suite 202 Colorado Springs, CO 80918. Welcome to the Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Skills Session of the American Heart Association. The cost of this class is $100. Please register and pay for your class at: http://www.savingamericanhearts.com/peadlisupsks.html This is the in person hands on skills testing portion of the PALS Class. This skills session is for those who have completed the PALS online Heartcode Part 1 and need PALS Heartcode parts 2 and 3, practice and testing to receive their certification provider card. To come to this class you need to complete the Heartcode Part 1 online testing and bring that certificate with you to class. Heartcode 2 consists of hands on practice Heartcode 3 is testing You may ask the instructor questions and practice until you are comfortable, before being tested. You will be tested on your BLS Skills for 1 and 2 person rescuer on a child and an infant with the use of an AED. You will then be tested on 1 Cardiac or Rhythm Disturbance case and 1 Respiratory or Shock Case. Each student must individually discuss the indications and contraindications for intraosseous access and demonstrate the psychomotor skills of IO insertion. Don't freak out! We practice everything first LOL ! Upon successful completion of the hands on skills testing, you will receive your AHA PALS Cards before you leave the class.
