She worked as the school librarian for six years. During her tenure at Winters High, she taught English, Physical Education, Health, Introduction to Microsoft Office, and Student Government. She created a Library Intern program for students to get on-the-job training in Library Science and served as the advisor for

She has been part of the Yolo Solano Center for Teaching Credentialing since its inception.
