This fundraising event is to benefit the Butte County Sheriff’s Mounted Posse and is being co-hosted by the Posse and Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea.
The event has a limited number of participants and is open exclusively to individuals who hold a valid CCW permit issued by the Butte County Sheriff’s Office.
Participants will have the rare opportunity to shoot at the training facility used by BCSO deputies, receive instruction on home defense and the safe handling use of a firearm from the BCSO SWAT team, practice “shooting on the move” drills and compete in a shooting competition with Sheriff Honea – the best shooter will win a Glock 19 pistol. Participants will be treated to lunch and receive a presentation by Sheriff Honea.
As part of the $250 cost of admission, participants will receive a fun day at our range, a great lunch and learn more about firearm safety. Participants will also be able to purchase raffle prize tickets for a chance to win firearms and other great items.
Participants must bring their own handgun and their own ammunition to shoot (45 Cal, 40 Cal, 38 Cal or 9mm), which will need to be inspected for safe functionality by a BCSO Range Master.
Participants will also be required to sign a “waiver of liability and hold harmless” form.
