Volunteers will help to collect and organize donations from all of the drop off locations
Volunteers will be asked to help out with cleaning up projects, painting rooms, and room reorganizing

Volunteers will be cleaning up the woods behind the Hawk Crossing apartments in preparation for the Nightmare on Clove Road program in October.

Creating Cards for kids in Hospitals that need care and an uplifting message and positivity throughout their day.
Warehouse volunteers at our Hillside location assist with a variety of tasks including sorting and repacking food items, assembling our Emergency Food boxes, Family Packs and Senior boxes, packaging bulk product into family sized bags, and help with office work and data entry tasks.
Volunteer will do outreach and community projects at their Newark location.
Volunteers will serving lunch to guests dining in their Community Kitchen.
Volunteers may be asked to help out in the Food Pantry & Thrift Shop.
Volunteers will be asked to help with their garden along with clean-up and organization.
As part of an expanded civic education, LANBI is will offer a civics conversation/exchange with Montclair State students and 6-10 of its ESL/Citizenship students. Most of Lanbi's students are Creole-speaking, with various levels of English fluency. Lanbi is interested in hearing from MSU students--what happened on 9/11, how it affected people in New Jersey, and why students think the event is important to remember. How is 9/11 meaningful to them? In exchange, LANBI students will discuss Haiti's earthquake of 2010 as a comparable moment of national tragedy.
Outreach and Community development for their students
Volunteers will be engaging in some outdoor tasks including maintenance, building, and/or gardening. Cleaning/organizing may also be done.
Bonner and NexGen Leaders will support a community resource providing families of young adults with special needs information, education, and emotional support.

We are approaching the anniversary of September 11, 2001, where we will be honoring those who lost their lives and sacrificed their lives to save others. This year we will be hosting our Annual 9/11 Day of Service at Montclair State University on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 7:30am to 3pm. We expect this day to not only commemorate 9/11 but to allow for new opportunities as we welcome our students, faculty and staff back to campus, ready to serve at organizations.
