Join us for a weekend Mom Walk in Highland Park in collaboration with WalkWithADoc Pittsburgh, followed by a special Mini Music Class with Kindermusik by Lynda!
WALK DETAILS:
We will meet at the water fountain at the park entrance at 8:30 am (Highland Park – Reservoir Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206). We’ll take a few minutes to learn about a current health topic from Dr. Natalie Gentile from WalkWithADoc then spend the rest of the hour enjoying a healthy walk and fun conversation. It’s a great way to get out, get active, and enjoy all the benefits that come from walking, alongside other mamas. Walk at your own pace and distance.
PLEASE NOTE: As this walk is lead by WalkWithADoc, it is important to arrive at 8:30am. There will not be our usual buffer time to arrive at your own pace, as the walk will start promptly after a short introduction. If you are running late, that is totally OK, just catch up to us on the trail (you can't miss a bunch of moms with strollers).
MINI MUSIC CLASS:
After the walk, you are invited to join Lynda Wingerd of Kindermusik by Lynda for a fun mini music class! Starting just after 9:30 AM, this class allows young toddlers to explore new movements, objects, and words, while learning basic music concepts with their favorite grown up.
Class will be approximately 30 minutes and is geared towards kids ages 0-5, but all are welcome and encouraged to join.
The class will be set-up on the grassy area to the left of the water fountain inside Highland Park. Feel free to bring a blanket to sit on if you'd prefer.
ABOUT KINDERMUSIK BY LYNDA:
Kindermusik® by Lynda launched in 1996 offering classes one morning per week. As more families learned about the wonderful curriculum and the enthusiasm with which we offer our Kindermusik classes, we grew into one of the top 1% of programs in the world. Lynda currently holds classes 6 days a week for babies & children ages 0-5 and their favorite grown up, in 4 locations, including Aspinwall, Highland Park, Ross and Gibsonia.
WHAT TO BRING:
Bring your kiddos, strollers, water and sun protection, and get ready to grow your village, meeting other local mamas and their families.
PARKING:
Free Parking is available on the surrounding streets and along Resevoir Drive, within the Park.
REGISTRATION:
Our walks are always free for everyone. However, we ask that you register for this event to confirm your attendance and allow event organizers to notify you of any changes. Please register for yourself and note the number of kids who will be participating in the music class portion of the event. If you are ONLY attending the walk, please select "Walk Only". You are also welcome to come for just the music class portion.
Walks, events, and our community are open to all moms: moms-to-be, bonus moms, newborn moms, toddler moms, big kid moms, and more. Everyone is always welcome!
