Founders Emeralds Dan & Betsy Smith Dan and Betsy began building organizations of people in 1975. Dan was a salesman for an international corporation, and Betsy was in management for a retail department store. Betsy was working 90 hours per week, and Dan was working 60 hours per week, but they both had a dream to be financially independent, so they pressed forward with a mentoring opportunity and a cashflow asset they didn’t fully understand. By August of 1978, they had reached Emerald status and had tripled their incomes from their jobs, so they went full time with their business. They’ve achieved Founders Emerald status, and their organization has spread to 23 countries around the world. With 10’s of thousands of IBO’s on their team, they helped Platinums, Sapphires, Emeralds and Diamonds to rise up to acquire their own dreams. Along the way, they were given the Master of Depth award by Dexter and Birdie Yager in honor of their accomplishments. Today, they live in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They have a daughter, Anca. They have a passion for travel. They’ve been to most states in the United States, 29 foreign countries and 6 of the 7 continents of the world.
