The Annual Youth Symposium is designed to address issues and opportunities related to Health/Wellness, Social Action/Justice, Education and Career Planning, Financial Literacy, and Culture in a fun, interactive and grade-appropriate manner.

  • Future Focused: After High School Panel: Advice for Next Steps
  • That's Life: Family Life Simulation
  • I Choose Glow: Honoring Self Through Nourishment of the Skin and Body with Self-Care.
  • Mindfulness practice, DIY wellness products, and so much more... 

Check-in begins at 9:30 AM

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and The Delta Psi Sigma Foundation (501c3) are the forefront champions advocating the interest of Seattle area women and youth. We are a leading community organization with more than one hundred thousand (100,000) members worldwide and have been the voice of women and students championing their interests before the state legislature and city leaders. Our primary purpose is to provide opportunities in which youth can become active members of society through relevant activities that are of fundamental importance to equality, justice, harmony, and a quality formal education.

Speakers

Born and raised in the Windy City, Angela Booker is a proud alumna of Alabama A&M University, where she earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees.

Angela’s passion for helping others led her into the field of mental health, and she now serves as a social worker with the Department of Veterans Affairs.​ She will speand the day leading the youth in several hands-on wellness and mindfullness activities.
