Join Korean, Asian and international actors as we explore how renewables can create local value, strengthen energy security and build the trust needed to accelerate implementation.
At a time when energy security, rising electricity demand, land-use pressures and community acceptance are shaping the pace of the energy transition, this event will explore what it takes to make renewables work for people, communities and local economies. Discussions will focus on two connected areas: agrivoltaics, as a practical pathway linking renewable energy, agriculture and rural development; and community energy, including solar and wind income villages, local ownership, benefit-sharing and models that create visible local value, support economic development and generate income for host communities.
Participants will gain insights from Korea’s emerging leadership, hear from international examples, and exchange directly with policymakers, practitioners and experts working to turn community-centred renewables into reality.
The event will provide a focused space to build connections, exchange international inspiring experiences, showcase solutions from Korean, Asian and beyond emerging approaches, and identify practical ways to move community-centred renewables from policy and pilot projects to implementation at scale.
