The netFORUM Users Group Organizer name

Since 1999 the netFORUM Users' Group has been and remains independent of the vendor Momentive Software. We are entirely staffed by volunteers who work at organizations utilizing the netFORUM software. Our tagline is “Advocacy and Education Through Participation.” Our primary mission is to promote the education of members using NetForum Enterprise, and its nuances, and represent those members with any shared concerns with Momentive Software.

Speakers

Daniel is a Senior Systems Analyst at APCO International, a global leader in public safety communications (aka, 9-1-1). APCO provides professional development, standards, and advocacy for more than 60,000 public safety communication officials, serving a membership of over 40,000. Before joining APCO, Daniel worked as a freelance graphic designer, gaining foundational experience in HTML and CSS. 

    In late 2008, Daniel was introduced to NetForum Enterprise as a Member Services Coordinator. Soon after, he transitioned to a new department as a Systems Coordinator in Knowledge Management, where he honed his skills in content management systems (CMS) and began working with SQL, using tools like SSMS for more in-depth troubleshooting and development. Over the years, Daniel became one of the go-to experts at APCO for resolving complex issues and brainstorming new features, contributing significantly to the organization’s training, maintenance, and customization of Netforum and connected systems.

Matt has been on the board of the netFORUM Users Group since 2006, first serving as the treasurer before becoming president in 2009.  His day job is as a software engineer supporting NetForum at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) since 2006.  Prior to that he worked at Avectra in various positions including Director of Customer Support and Consulting Director.

Conor serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Higher Logic. Conor has spent the past two decades building influential companies where he designed and managed internet scale platforms. He developed his in-depth knowledge implementing emerging technologies and leading multiple successful M&A activities as an executive at startups, enterprises, consulting organizations, as well as with various branches of the military and intelligence community.  He sits on investment and grant boards of multiple funds and teaches Entrepreneurship courses on product development at The University of Virginia.

Most recently Conor was the CTO at Cloud Generation and the Fractional CTO of Association Analytics. In the past, he served as a Network Security Engineer with BBN Technologies, the organization that architected the Internet and first email technologies.

Conor has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and an MBA from the University of Virginia. In his free time outside of ushering in the future of WEB2 & WEB3 technologies, Conor is bouncing around wrangling a house full of kids he refers to as his wild animals.

Outside of her professional life, she is an avid traveler, amateur furniture builder, and dedicated dog rescuer. She resides in Arlington, Virginia, with her husband and their spirited red-headed daughter.
