The Tournaments within a Tournament (TWTs)
There are optional TWTs to enhance the fishing tournament. All tournament rules are applicable, apart from the rule that more than one prize can be won by a single angler. There is no requirement to enter the TWT; however, if the person who weighs in the biggest fish has not entered, the prize will be given to the largest fish from someone who entered the TWT contest. There will be 3 separate TWTs: the largest red drum, the largest speckled trout, and the combined weight of a red drum and speckled trout. Each TWT requires an additional $25 entry fee.
TWT Payouts
1st - 60%
2nd - 20%
3rd - 10%
Matthew’s Ministry - 10%

Rules
- All anglers on a single vessel must be registered for the tournament.
- All persons fishing in the Matthew’s Ministry Inshore Classic must have a valid North Carolina Fishing License as the NC Wildlife Resources Commission requires.
- Youth anglers, 12 and below, fish for free. The free registration makes the youth angler eligible for the youth division only. With paid registration, a youth angler is eligible for all division prizes.
- There are optional tournaments within a tournament (TWTs). To be eligible for the TWTs, each angler must register during the tournament registration period.
- This is an open water tournament; any area that is publicly and legally accessible is permitted.
- Lines can be in the water at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 12th.
- Scales will be open from 3 - 4 p.m. on Thursday, September 12th, at Morningstar Marinas of Southport. Anglers must be in line before 4 p.m. to be qualified for prizes.
- All entries must be caught with a rod and reel.
- All fish shall be weighed using official scales.
- All fish shall be kept in as good a condition as possible, preferably on ice or alive, so an accurate judgment can be made as to its freshness. Any fish deemed frozen, spoiled, or showing signs of unsportsmanlike handling will be disqualified.
- Each angler is only eligible to win one prize per division. (Once in speckled trout and once in red drum)
- The angler may keep the fish after the weigh-in.
- Unsportsmanlike conduct will result in disqualification.
- All anglers must conform to local, state, and federal laws.
- In the event of a tie, the decision will be made by the earliest check-in time.
- The Tournament Committee reserves the right to reschedule the tournament due to weather.
- Any angler that brings a fish to the weigh-in that is outside the NC recreational size limits will be disqualified from the tournament.
- If not enough Redfish or Speckled Trout are weighed, prize money will be reallocated to the opposite division.
