Michael Pearson, CPA, CGFM - Michael is the Chief of the Bureau of Administration at Idaho Department of Fish & Game, in charge of oversight for all administrative functions of the $150M dedicated fund state agency. Over the past three years, he played a key role in securing $8M in municipal bonds to construct a new regional office for the department and a $20M municipal bond to demolish and construct new departmental headquarters that was completed on time and under budget. Under his leadership, his team procured a new statewide licensing system that successfully went live on November 1, 2020, and negotiated savings of over $1M in total contract cost. Recently he has given seminars on changing the culture of the finance function to improve customer service to front line employees including leadership techniques to support staff in this effort. Michael is serving on the National Governing Board of AGA as National Treasurer-elect, a national organization of more than 12,000 members that connects and empowers financial related professionals who support government. His term as National Treasurer starts on July 1, 2023. Michael was also recently appointed as a Trustee on the Board of his alma mater, the College of Idaho in July of 2022.
