Wendy Morton-Huddleston, CGFM, PMP AGA National President, 2020-2021 Wendy is an Advisory Principal and Risk Business Line Leader in Grant Thornton Public Sector LLC. Wendy has over 25 years of experience providing insights to federal, state, local and not-for-profit clients. Wendy’s professional experience is in enterprise risk management, business process optimization, financial management and strategic planning. Wendy served as President of the 2,000 member Washington, D.C. chapter of AGA from 2016-2017. Wendy holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Norfolk State University, an MBA in Management and a MS in Finance from the University of Maryland and an Executive Leadership Certificate from Cornell University.

Masters in Economics from University of Missouri. Four years’ work at the Division of Financial Management.

Masters in Economics from both University of Michigan and University of Washington. Work at the Central Bank of Mongolia.

Mr. Pittz was appointed Director of Lottery Security in March of 2019 by Idaho Lottery Director Jeff Anderson. Mr. Pittz is a sworn law enforcement officer with 17 years of experience between the Caldwell Police Department, the Office of the Idaho Attorney General, and now the Idaho Lottery. He has extensive experience investigating white collar crimes, fraud, and corruption from his time with the Idaho Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control and Public Corruption Units. Mr. Pittz holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Administration from Boise State University. Additionally, Mr. Pittz is currently an Idaho Peace Officer’s Standards and Training (POST) certified firearms instructor, former ground control instructor, designated marksman instructor, TASER instructor, Street Survival instructor, and defensive tactics instructor. He is certified as a forensic examiner for digital evidence through the United States Secret Service National Computer Forensic Institute and an adjunct faculty member for the College of Western Idaho’s law enforcement training program.

Nathan leads the Eide Bailly Analytics practice and helps companies make the most of their data. He believes data can be an asset to any company, but it takes expertise and understanding to get a return on analytics. Nathan helps companies automate data preparation, build reports and dashboards, and consults on using data to make better decisions. Nathan believes that every company can be a data company. Previously the CEO and founder of Xerva, a business intelligence company located in Orem, Utah. Nathan loves to watch data transform businesses and go from being a liability to an asset.

Nick is the Practice Lead over the Business Process Automation and Optimization team at Eide Bailly Technology Consulting. After receiving his Master's in Information Systems Management from Brigham Young University, he dove straight into business and technical consulting. With over a hundred projects under his belt as a project lead or technical architect, he has developed a deep passion for what he does. His team utilizes a suite of tools to optimize business process and automate menial and complex tasks, leaving humans to do what humans do best. By striving to understand your business first, this team of consultants will ensure your automation solutions deliver a quick return on investment while marching you towards your larger digital transformation goals.

Alex Adams is Governor Brad Little's budget and regulatory chief. He serves as Administrator of the Idaho Division of Financial Management, and was chair of the state's Coronavirus Financial Advisory Committee (CFAC). Dr. Adams is a graduate of the University of Toledo and Johns Hopkins University.

Abbey is a leadership coach and trainer with more than fifteen years of experience in leadership and team development, including over a decade at The Boeing Company where she managed global talent development programs. She believes that the strongest organizations are those in which employees feel connected to each other and to their work—so, she helps leaders build that connection through uniquely designed training, coaching, and facilitation. Along with her consulting work, she's the founder of The Management Essentials, a training program for new managers, and an instructor at Boise State University, where she helps undergraduate engineers grow in their leadership and communication skills.

Melinda serves as the Chair of the AGA’s Professional Ethics Board; as the representative for the Dallas chapter for the AGA’s National Council of Chapters (NCC); and as the Chapter Director for Area 3 on AGA’s National Governing Board (NGB). Melinda DeCorte has more than 20 years of accounting, auditing and government financial management experience. Ms. DeCorte is experienced in applying applicable OMB, GAO, and AICPA methodologies and requirements and ensuring that audit teams comply with professional standards. Prior to her career in public accounting, she served as a commissioned officer in the United States Army, Finance Corps. She has authored several articles on professional ethics in the AGA Journal of Government Financial Management and regularly speaks on ethics, audit, and internal control at professional development conferences and training seminars.

Dave Cotton is chairman of Cotton & Company LLP, Certified Public Accoun¬tants, headquartered in Alexan¬dria, Virginia. Dave is the vice-chair of AGA’s Professional Ethics Board. Dave chaired the Fraud Risk Management Task Force, sponsored by COSO and ACFE and is a principal author of the COSO-ACFE Fraud Risk Management Guide. Dave has testified as an expert in governmental accounting, auditing, and fraud issues before the United States Court of Federal Claims and other administrative and judicial bodies. Dave was the recipient of the ACFE 2018 Certified Fraud Examiner of the Year Award (“presented to a CFE who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in the field of fraud examination … based on their contributions to the ACFE, to the profession, and to the community”).

April has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master of business administration degree, both from Boise State University. April started in the Audits Division in 1994 as a staff auditor, received her CPA license in 1997, and then took a few years away to work in a family business from 1997 until 2001. She returned as a staff auditor II working as a supervisor on a variety of audits before becoming the Legislative Audits Division Manager in April 2012. She is also a member of the National Association of State Auditors, Controllers, and Treasurers (NASACT), the secretary/treasurer of the National State Auditors Association executive committee, and a member of the NASACT executive committee.

Paul is a principal for CliftonLarsonAllen LLP (CLA) in the firm’s Denver area office locations. Paul serves as the Western regional leader for CLA’s national public sector group, bringing an uncommon perspective and insight to the clients’ audit engagement teams. Paul is licensed to practice as a certified public accountant in Colorado. Paul has been in public accounting for 23 years and all his experience has been with governmental and nonprofit clients. He was a partner with a firm in California and joined CLA in 2006. Governmental clients include cities and towns, school districts, counties, higher education institutions, state departments, and a variety of special districts. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University. He is a member of the Colorado Government Finance Officer’s Association (CGFOA), Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Paul is a national instructor in CLA’s firm-wide training program. His instruction is focused on governmental accounting, audit methodology, and Single Audit requirements. Paul is also a frequent speaker at GFOA, CGFO, and numerous other events.

Gerry has been with the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury, Division of State Audit, since January 1995. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). He was a Legislative State Auditor for five years before becoming State Audit’s Technical Manager. As a Legislative State Auditor, he served as an audit in-charge for three of the five years primarily on college and university audits. As the Technical Manager, he is primarily responsible for monitoring GASB, FASB, AICPA, OMB, and GAO accounting, auditing, and compliance standards relating to financial statement and financial-related audits. He reviews financial statement audits for adherence to the above principles and standards, as well as to AICPA and GAO auditing standards. He is responsible for responding to all due process documents of the above standard setters, as applicable. He serves as a representative of the National Association of State Auditors, Comptrollers, and Treasurers (NASACT) by observing and writing an account of the GASB meetings. He has a BA degree in accounting with a German minor from Murray State University (MSU) in Murray, KY. He is a 1994 graduate of MSU. He is married to Melissa Boaz. He enjoys playing golf.

Jolynn Hunt is the CEO of IO Consulting which tailors to Individuals & Organizations. She has been immersed in the business world for the past 17 years. Her expertise is in organizational psychology, leadership, business consulting/coaching, marketing, public relations, and branding. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Industrial | Organizational Psychology. She has a Master's in Healthcare Management, and a Bachelor of Health Science in Public Health Education. She is also a Certified Life Coach. This education in combination with her work experience has allowed her to work with multiple industries and markets throughout the nation. Jolynn is passionate about helping individuals and organizations thrive by implementing sound and effective techniques. Jolynn is an avid strength trainer and runner and has a goal to complete a marathon every year. She believes in the importance of taking care of the whole person - physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. She has been happily married for 20 years to the love of her life and has two beautiful children whom she cherishes. Her family is her biggest inspiration and support system.

Jodi joined the Eide Bailly LLp in 1995 and has extensive experience in a wide variety of public accounting services. Her client portfolio is just as diverse—she has worked with non-profit organizations, governmental entities, multifamily and public housing authorities and retirement plans. Jodi manages audits for many of the governmental entities in Treasure Valley, and she also plays an active role in audits of federal awards in both the nonprofit and governmental sectors. She is currently the Partner-in-Charge of Government Services for the Firm and has been on the Firm's Board of Directors for the past two years.
