Every 10 years, states redraw districts based on the results of the census. California has an independent citizens commission that does this for State Legislative districts. Various cities and counties use other practices. In this elective training, learn about the different ways districts are redrawn in California, how you can be involved in the process, and why it's important for Democrats to prioritize redistricting.
Many understand the nuts and bolts of campaigning prior to an election. But what about after Election Day? What should organizing look like then? In this elective training, you will hear from experienced activists who have catalyzed progressive change by seeing electoral campaigns as part of a strategy to win. Our hope is that attendees walk away thinking about their own post election action plan.
In this advanced training, ADEM conveners and volunteers will learn how to facilitate COVID-safe elections. People interested in running to be a delegate are encouraged to participate in this training as well.
Roberts Rules of Order has made some updates for virtual meetings. This elective training is strongly encouraged for regional directors and committee chairs who are running virtual meetings and want to be up to date.
In this entry level training, people interested in being Assembly District Delegates will learn what it means to be a delegate and get tips on how to put together an engaging campaign to become one.
