Programme (PDF) - 15TH BIENNIAL UBC VANCOUVER PEDIATRIC OPHTHALMOLOGY AND STRABISMUS CONFERENCE
The subspecialty of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus encompasses so many subjects in the fields of ophthalmology and pediatrics that it is difficult to stay abreast of new developments. Every two years, we meet in a relaxed and interactive setting to refresh and update our understanding of children’s eye disorders and strabismus in adults and children.
This year in Vancouver, the issues we will address will include aging changes in the orbit and their contribution to strabismus, the relevance of eye movements as a possible etiology of glaucoma, the gathering myopia epidemic and its emerging avenues for treatment, the management of infant cataract and new lens types for older children, new developments in pediatric glaucoma management, as well as sensory and motor issues in strabismus.
Once again we have gathered an international group of superb speakers, leaders in the fields of strabismus and pediatric ophthalmology. Our invited speakers and local faculty will share their knowledge and insights over this two-day conference. We aim to foster active exchange of ideas in a relaxed environment where the emphasis is on discussion, conversation, and good fellowship.
