This training is designed to provide participants with a clear understanding of Delaware’s Mandatory Reporting Law and best practices for identifying and reporting suspected abuse and neglect. The session will:

Review civil and criminal definitions of abuse and neglect

Highlight the relationship between physical and behavioral indicators and suspicion of abuse or neglect

Discuss appropriate ways to respond to disclosures and use minimal facts questions

Identify the information requested by DFS when making a report

Explore prevention strategies to protect children and strengthen families
This webinar fulfills the Delaware BSWE CE requirement for mandatory reporting. CE certificates will be emailed by NASW-DE within 12 days of successful completion.
